We have been saving our trip to Lubbock, Texas so that we could also see some family members at the same time! We were so grateful that the Taggarts and the Stewarts were in Lubbock when we arrived. Such a wonderful, welcomed site!
We were able to have a quick lunch with the salesmen before they were off for the day. We were able to see Katie at work and then it was time for some missionary work.
President and Sister Augustin are terrific! They cover a huge area of Texas because it is the less populated part of the state. They love the missionaries so much and the missionaries love them. Hal spends a lot of time talking with Sister Augustin because they have missionaries in very small towns and they are lacking in medical resources.
The Texas Lubbock mission is cowboy country!
Our newlyweds enjoying a brief moment together before a long day of work!
Not a lot to do in Lubbock but we did enjoyed Prairie Dog Town!
There were hundreds of Prairie Dogs in a big protected field. They really enjoyed the watermelon that a cute man was throwing to them.
We really enjoyed the National Ranching Heritage Center at Texas Tech. It was a great display of ranch homes, etc. "Get your longhorns on!"
Father's Day was a wonderful day! We were so grateful to be able to spend it with family. This is after Church when we walked across the parking lot to the Lubbock Temple!
