Jayne saved the day!  We are so grateful that she had business in Houston!  She was just the boost we needed to get us to a point of feeling settled and able to function.  We spent a day shopping for needed supplies, working on the computers and putting together furniture.  What a blessing!

Something we are not used to, flowers and garden shops in December!  Sister Crawford wants Hal to help her put in a garden at the mission home.  We will probably start preparing and planting in January.  Lots of new things to learn about gardening in Houston!

There are rows of pesticides for bugs we have never had a problem with.  These shelves kill Fire Ants and we hear they are plentiful!

This is the front of our apartment building.  It has a dark hallway with four doors.  We hardly ever use it.  We are so grateful for our attached garage.  Just last night someone came in and stole everyone's door mats, wreaths, etc.  Weird stuff to steal!  We are hoping they aren't interested in getting more brazen and breaking into the apartments.

The Houston Temple was beautiful.  It gave us a lot of peace just to visit the grounds and know how to get there.  We can't wait to be able to go inside and spend some time!

These are some of our darling Sister Missionaries!  Three are from Utah, specifically Sandy and Kearns.  Sister Kabubuarangana Mokeaki (next to Hal) is from a tiny island in the Gilbert Islands and is in total culture shock. She is trying so hard to learn English and adjust to our lifestyle.  Her parents and family members did not support her decision to serve a mission.  She is such a sweetheart and has so much courage!  All of the missionaries we have met are fantastic!
