This is the part of Lake Houston that we live by.  It is still shallow and marshy from the drought but has lots of birds!

 

The Lake is surrounded by bike trails and is a great place for us to get a little exercise.

We were able to have dinner with Jon this week as he had a layover in Houston.  He treated us to Mo's Barbeque!

This has been a fun, busy week as were have been able to help with a mission wide conference for the missionaries.  This included lunch and gifts!

We were able to surprise the missionaries with a bag piper from Vidor, Texas that we had heard the week before.  This is a young man is from Australia who served his mission in Texas.  He loved it so much, he has made Texas his home.



The table decorations had pictures of each of the missionaries.

Elder Tolman and Hal are kindred spirits and golfing buddies!  At least they have been able to go golfing on one occasion.
