We really did leave! I was able to snap a picture of Lake Houston when we were flying in. Our apartment is very close to the Lake so it was a fun perspective for us to see.
Hal is trying to catch a few winks on the floor of our apartment. Zero furniture at this point but it is coming!
We have visited several stake Christmas events this week. This one was in Kingwood where they transformed their cultural hall! The whole community was invited and missionaries were on hand to answer questions.
Our new best friends, Elder Tolman and Elder Caraway who brought us a bed! They manage missionary cars, bikes, and apartments. Busy and happy men.
President and Sister Crawford, our mission parents. This was on Saturday when it was time to rake the lawn. They have taken us in, fed us, gave us a bed to sleep in and in general, been wonderful to us. What a gift they are to all of the missionaries!
Hal has a nice area to work in our apartment and here is our first piece of furniture. A chair we bought and put together from Sam's Club.
Here is our bedroom with a folding chair for a night stand and a blanket and quilt that we borrowed from the mission home. It is quite comfortable and we are grateful!
Our Christmas decoration! We needed something! I am standing where we hope to have a table and some chairs. The picture is from Christmas last year when we were able to go to Temple Square with some of our grandchildren, James, Hal, Katie, Joe, Matt & Joey. Lizzie, you are in the picture too! Sweet memories. Now that Emily and Sam are home, gather and go again and take a picture for us.
