Crawfish season is March-June and they are for sell by the bag! A popular Texas and Louisiana tradition. Yes, these are alive. They resemble small lobsters but can survive out of the water if kept moist. The bags have 30-40 lbs of crawfish. You usually plan on 5 lbs per person.

Sister Crawford is breaking the head from the tail. The tail is really the only part with anything to eat. It takes a fair amount of effort. We both liked the taste, Hal enjoyed the process. I preferred the shrimp!
